 ATTN:    History Department Chairman

Are you looking for ways to make your history classes more interesting? Would you like to have the opportunity for your classes to talk to the people who made the history? How about if this were available with no extra effort on your part and at no cost’?

On Saturday, January 30, 1999, the World War II Historical Preservation Federation in conjunction with the Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge will REENACT THE BATTLE OF THE BULGE at Fort Indiantown Gap, Annville, PA.

Fitted out with tanks, cannons, aircraft and all the equipment and uniforms of that era, these present day re-enactors and actual veterans of the battle will recreate this last, desperate German offensive of World War II and the heroic deeds of the Allied Forces who stopped it.

The first formation for the re-enactors will be held at 8:00 AM and they will move to the field for the battle at 9:00 AM. The battle will continue until approximately 4:00 PM. You do not need to stay for the entire battle. You may return to the barracks area and talk with the living history personnel who will remain behind to entertain your questions and comments. These people are well versed about the Battle of the Bulge and will explain their uniforms, equipment, life style and a myriad of other interesting things about their life during this epic event.

If you plan to attend, please contact the undersigned and I will send you a map showing the location of the encampment and appropriate parking areas. Also, if you have any questions or comments, please contact me at the above address or by phone at 717-861.8829.

Sincerely,

Warren P. Parks
